Welcome - and a Grand Giveaway!

The Giveaway is now CLOSED! Thanks to everyone who entered. The winner will be announced on Thursday 5th July!

Hello, and welcome to this weekend's festivities at Jennifer's Jumbles! This is the start of my
'Organisation Celebration' - if you haven't previously heard about this event, then here's the deal:

The event is inspired by my word of the year, which I blogged about in January here. Along the theme of organisation there will be posts every hour, from 4pm-10pm Friday (today), and 10am-10pm Saturday and Sunday (BST), including a blog hop, tips, tutorials, challenges, crafts, and lots of GIVEAWAYS!

The giveaways will stay open until Monday (2nd July 2012) at 11.59pm BST, so if you're away for any part of the weekend you'll have Monday to try and catch up! One challenge will be open until the following Sunday (8th July 2012) too! All the giveaways will be open internationally.

And, we're kicking off the giveaways right here, right now, with a Grand Giveaway:

The prize includes (worth over £40):

  • 4 sheets of Bazzill Basics Cardstock
  • 4 sheets of Crate Paper 'Storyteller' Patterned Paper (Lifetime, Yesterday, Document, & Tag Cuts)
  • Crate Paper 'Storyteller' Phrase Stickers, Border Stickers, and Alpha Stickers
  • 4 Sheets of My Mind's Eye 'Follow Your Heart - Be Amazing' Patterned Paper (Societe, Blue Doliy, Geo Star, & Be Adored)
  • My Mind's Eye 'Be Amazing' Decorative Brads, and Rhinestones
  • Pink Paislee 'Prairie Hill' 6x6 Paper Pack
  • Pink Paislee 'Prairie Hill' Element Stickers, and Shipping Tags
  • American Crafts 'Dear Lizzy' Roller Date Stamp
  • A selection of Felt, Crochet, and Fimo Embellishments handmade by me, and strip each of Lace and Vintage Material, tied around a peg.
Plus a few useful bits:

  • Blue Tac, 2 Sharpie Pens and a Sharpie Pencil, Paper Clips, and an Adhesive Roller.

What do you think? I tried to choose colours that would be great for summer crafting, but that could ease nicely into Autumn in case you don't get to craft with them right away, (of course these seasons might not apply to where you live - if that's the case, I hope you like the colours anyway!)

So how do you get your hands on this prize? Just leave a comment! You could just leave one on this post, but... wait for it... every comment on any post this weekend will count as another entry into the draw! (That's commenting on posts that have been newly posted this weekend, from now until Sunday 10pm - going back commenting on old posts won't count - sorry!)

You will only be entered into the Grand Giveaway draw if you have commented on this welcome post - that way if you don't want to win the prize (perhaps you're lucky enough to already own all this stuff?!) then don't comment here - but you can still leave commments for the rest of the weekend (and maybe win some other giveaways!), without being entered into this draw. (I hope that all makes sense!)

I'm going to wrap up this welcome post with an organisational tip:

If something is important, then write a note about it and put it where you look most often. For me, this is currently at my computer! Luckily I have this brilliant mousemat, which is actually a pad of paper (it came from Paperchase):

Anything I need to remember gets jotted down here, and I see it each time I sit at the computer. Where do you look at the most? Your craft desk? Your kitchen wall? Wherever it is, stick up a note there right now, that says 'don't forget to keep checking www.jennifersjumbles.blogspot.com all this weekend!'

Ha. You don't really have to do that. Though I'll pretend you all are!

Don't forget to leave a comment here to be entered into the Grand Giveaway {NOW CLOSED} - the giveaway is open internationally, and it will close at 11.59pm (BST) Monday 2nd July. Make sure you leave me a way to contact you if you win, if you're not easily reached via a Google account.

That's it for this hour, I'll be back in 60 minutes with the next installment! x

The kit you pulled together looks great and I'm looking forward to all the posts this weekend. I used to jot things down on post-it notes both in my office and in my craft studio - and they often got lost between one station and another. Now I have a little notebook that gets carried back and forth between the 2 and it works much better.

I try to be organised but I've got so much stuff now that I tend to use what I see and forget what I can't.

I'm late to the celebration but will definitely be reading all the posts and with a bit of luck implementing some of them too.

Love Mandy xxx

I just popped over from Sian's Storytelling Sunday and had to check out your organization post - I love to organize!

I write everything on my calendar because I check it often. If it's not written there, it probably won't happen. When my family wants to schedule something, they always ask first, "do you have your calendar with you?" LOL

I love your mouse mat, up until last week I mainly sit at my desk in my office at work and I stick post-it notes to my monitors. The main one I have had stuck there for months detailed my maternity leave dates :) I am now on maternity leave so will have to find somewhere at home to write notes to myself :) Great giveaway! Kxx
